Throughout the United States, the month of November ushers in a season of gratitude and giving, and at the Sean Anderson Foundation, we want to take a dedicated moment to recognize our sponsors, partners and friends who made our 2019 D.O.N. Weekend a wonderful success!
Without the support from friends including Ally, Puma, the Boys and Girls Club of Southeastern Michigan, Detroit Pistons, Quicken Loans, Fratarcangeli Wealth Management, Essentia Water, Lyft, Urban Content Studios, D’USSE and many others, this weekend would not have been possible.
It was during Day 2 of the 2nd Annual D.O.N. Weekend, that an esteemed panel including Dr. Michael Eric Dyson, Dr. Jessica Clemons, Shaka Senghor and Big Sean discussed the importance of self care and mental health awareness. Abounding with hope, taking place over the course of nearly four hours, the conversation opened to a community encouraged Q&A that proved to be therapeutic, healing, informative and refreshing! With closing remarks by Myra Anderson, sharing local resources that attendees could walk away with, we are so very grateful and thankful to each panelist and every participant who was able to attend. Again – special thanks to Puma, for making this event possible!
It also might please you to know that a team of enthusiastic young people who are passionate about storytelling and documenting stories came together to produce this recap video, and we are so thankful for their combined efforts via Urban Content Studios!
We look forward to returning for D.O.N. Weekend 2020, and we hope that everyone is able to find time, during this forthcoming holiday season and beyond, to give back and/or share the delight of joy and gratitude with others!
