Since kicking off our Mogul Prep Detroit Workshop event in April, the Sean Anderson Foundation and Big Sean have continued our mission of educating students on the rising career opportunities within the entertainment industry landscape.
Throughout April, Mogul Prep connected with students in Baltimore, Atlanta and Miami, hosting unique, experiential events that allowed students to learn about the various jobs in music, while engaging in a once-in-a-lifetime classroom. Taking place alongside Big Sean’s I Decided. Tour, select students were able to come to their local concert venue and learn about the ins and outs of the business directly from the members of Big Sean’s production team including Maceo Price, Ryan Wiley, Dennis Daniels, Kellie Martin and Honorary Mogul Prep Instructor Captain Barrington Irving. Participating schools included the Excel Academy (Tammy Woodhouse, Principal) in Baltimore, Barrington Irving’s – Experience Aviation in Miami and students from The Perry Career Academy, Mt. Zion High School and Mundy Mill High School in Clayton County, GA.
Coming together in Los Angeles for a special partnership during the BET Awards Weekend, Big Sean, the Sean Anderson Foundation, BET, BET Experience and AEG invited fifty students from LA United School to attend a Mogul Prep Workshop at the BET Awards! Students were able to gain valuable insight into the Mogul Prep curriculum, even getting a chance to speak with BET Networks chairman and chief executive Debra Lee.
