On Saturday, April 01, the Sean Anderson Foundation and Big Sean hosted a Mogul Prep event, for middle and high school students at The Madison, in Detroit.

With support from Quicken Loans, Bedrock Detroit, J.A.C.K. Entertainment, UAW Ford, MGM Grand Detroit and PopEd, Mogul Prep was a success, as students were able to receive once in a lifetime opportunities, to directly engage with active, influential members of the entertainment industry.

A special, surprise moment took place when the Mayor of Detroit, the Honorable Mayor Mike Duggan, awarded Big Sean with the KEY TO THE CITY! In the Mayor’s own words, “The work that Big Sean is doing with his foundation is inspiring Detroit youth to achieve their dreams. No matter where he goes, he is always representing Detroit and giving back.” A rare club of honorees, only two people prior to Big Sean have received the honor. The first is MOTOWN founder Berry Gordy, and the second is one of Detroit and MOTOWN’s finest exports – Stevie Wonder! This recognition makes Big Sean not only the third individual to be honored, but it also makes him the YOUNGEST honoree, in this special trio of hometown heroes.

Thank you to our panelist DJ MO BEATZ, Anthony Galli, Michael Fair and Mike Carson, as well as our event hosts Marlow Stoudamire and Courtney Squirewell, for making Mogul Prep Detroit 2017 a day students will always remember!
