Aaliyah Stewart, @hope_asw on Instagram, a high school sophomore from #Indiana, developed the #IAMTHEM movement, after starting a foundation in honor of her two brothers that were killed by gun violence. The ASW Foundation (Hope for the Lost) has already given away two scholarships to graduating high school students, since launching in December 2014.
After learning about what she was up to, Mirela Setkic, one of the Sean Anderson Foundation’s biggest social media supporters in Florida, purchased two tickets to Finding Paradise (the Big Sean/Sean Anderson Foundation benefit concert held November 06 at Joe Louis Arena), and mailed them to Aaliyah, allowing her and her mother an opportunity to attend the performance! Throughout this process, unbeknownst to Aaliyah, Mirela and Rashon A. Massey, a Sean Anderson Foundation Board Member, had been in communication, and even though Aaliyah found out just a couple days prior to the concert that she would be meeting several board members, Rashon escorted Aaliyah, her mother and guest to a private after show reception hosted by Big Sean. It was a special moment, to say the least, only made possible because of the genuine kindness of a stranger.

Thank you Aaliyah Stewart for being a living testament that #ItTakesOne and #OMCCTW/#OneManCanChangeTheWorld!
