This week has been one of our busiest and brightest weeks of 2015!
On November 04, Big Sean and the Sean Anderson Foundation was recognized by the Michigan Chronicle 40 Under 40 awards. Emceed by local radio personality Lola George, the event celebrates the lives and work of Detroit’s young and successful professionals. Sean was the night’s special honoree, receiving a distinguished trailblazer award, and the Sean Anderson Foundation was presented with a $5,000 check! Thank you Michigan Chronicle!

On November 05, Sean Anderson Foundation’s President, Myra Anderson, made stops to visit two of the foundation’s partners!
The first stop was to connect with our friends at Project Knapsack. Project Knapsack partners Elementary and Secondary students in the United States with pen pals in developing nations, specifically Africa. Students on the developing side of the exchange receive new backpacks filled with school supplies! Myra made a stop to Bates Academy Detroit to help handout knapsacks to students who will be participating in the pen pal program with students in Soweto. We encourage you to support and follow Project Knapsack on social media, to stay engaged with the phenomenal work the organization is doing.

Soon after, Myra was making a visit to our friends at Playworks Michigan. Stopping by Roosevelt Primary in Ferndale, MI, Myra was on hand to present a donation on behalf of Big Sean and Sean Anderson Foundation. We are very excited to continue our support of Playworks Michigan, and like Project Knapsack, we hope you’ll take time to support their efforts!
